Support the Market

Since 2011, the Waco Downtown Farmers Market (WDFM) has been operating year-round in downtown Waco supporting local, small businesses in Central Texas. WDFM is a small 501c3 non-profit, with an average budget of $200,000 - but our impact has been exponential. In 2021, the local businesses that compose our vendor lineup generated $1.9 million in sales - up from $800,000 in sales in 2019.

In 2023, the WDFM is expanding on the strengths of our Saturday Market by adding another day in a new location. In March, we will launch the Bridge Street Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings at the newly developed Bridge Street Plaza in East Waco. Expanding to a second day and a new location will allow the WDFM to:

  • Create additional sales opportunities for our current vendors, capitalizing on peak production seasons and increase supply perishable goods

  • Add new businesses into our vendor lineup as we hit capacity at Saturday Markets

  • Increase access and opportunities for limited resource families to participate in our food access programs (SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC FMNP)

  • Utilize a new space designed for community events - with a performance stage, grassy lawn, and easy access to the river

We need your support! Donations to the Waco Downtown Farmers Market help to cover the infrastructure costs to bring local, small businesses to the Market and enhance your patron experience. We look forward to seeing you at the Market on Saturdays - and on Wednesdays! Thank you for your continued support of the Waco Downtown Farmers Market.
